"If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again"

In life, they are our family, our friend, the keepers of our heart. When they leave us, there is a light- a heartlight- which will continue to shine. On this page, we honor that memory with a star, a photo and words of love for a life which forever changed our own. And in their name, we pass on their legacy through a donation to BROOD so that lives can continue to be saved, and placed in homes- to begin the cycle of love anew.

Your donation of $25 and above, will post a memorial for one year and light a star in memory of your loved one. This site is not restricted to bassets only. You may honor any pet or person who has made a forever impact on your life. You may also honor a friend by creating a memorial for their loved one. Recipients of memorials will be notified of your gift by BROOD.

Basil Houndin

You were our first foster failure & our 1st adoption success. You loved life & all living beings. There will never be another you. You gave us the best 13 years of our lives, and we miss you terribly. We shall meet at the Bridge.

Emma

In honor of Emma, my sweet friend, who was adopted from BROOD 4 years ago. Thank you for all you taught me. You made realize the important things in life. I treasure all our memories. I miss you and will remember you always. You will always be loved.

Cyrus

We all loved seeing you at daycare and will truly miss your sweet face and wonderful spirit. Your special talents were starting the "howling circle" and playing soccer when the balls were out on the floor. We will always remember your adorable antics!

Mario

In honor of Mario, who was dearly loved by his family and will be deeply missed. Though we are never ready, it was his time and he is now at peace. May the tears last only for a little while, and the good memories forever.

You were with us and House of Puddles for only a short time. Your brother and sister hounds miss you and be sure to play with the other HOP hounds at the Bridge.

Sofia

Sofia, your time with us was much too brief before cancer stole you away from us. We also miss you so much -- mom, dad, your hiking buddies, and your little BROOD rescue Rose Zoya. Our hearts are broken but we pray we'll see you again one day.

Camilla

BROOD took you in when you were lost. We only had you for a short time and then you went to heaven before you found your forever home. You were loved and we will take care of Charles for you. Rest in peace.

Winston Wendall Williams

We lost our beloved Winston too soon and too quick. He was a goofy guy who loved to open bottles with his teeth and who won several contests for barking and howling. He was loved greatly and will be remembered as our "Good Boy".

Tommie

Tommie was the sweetest little boy. He was the love of our lives and a big part of our family for five yrs. Unfortunately he had many health problems and eventually developed cancer. We will miss him dearly and he will be missed dearly. Love, Mom&Dad
