Clovis is an older male, who is getting over heartworm and a serious surgery for an badly infected lump.

UPDATE: I've been through a lot. I've had heartworm. I have had surgery for a seriously infected lump. And I haven't had a lot of love or care in my life. Maybe because of this I am a little grumpy -- or maybe you can say I am fond of getting my own way. I like to get on the bed or couch and I don't like to get off. But I always ask first, even though my foster mom always says no. She says I behave better when I can't always get my own way. I guess it's true. I should go to live with a kind person who understands my needs and can be strong for me, without grabbing my collar. I really hate that. I like to eat, but I am a bit shy about demanding food. I always peek around the corner while the other dogs are eating and ask my foster mom if it's okay to join them.

I am a velcro dog -- I love following mom around the house, especially in the evening (maybe she'll let in the bed this time). Nope...I like having my head scratched too. I also like following my foster sister all over the place, but she snaps at me when I do. I guess I am not the man I used to be...., not since I was neutered, anyway. I hope someone out there will like to have me for a pet....Is it you?
