FOSTER HOME/ORD WEBPAGE GUIDE
(Examples of good and bad poses)

BAD poses (with file size given)

This is a bad picture, because the photographer is standing above the dog, and aiming the camera down. Never the best shot of any dog.

Size of this image: 18K

This is an actual picture someone sent for the home page. Clearly it is a bad picture, since the dog is cut off.

Size of this image: 5K

This is a bad picture, because it does not show the dog in the best position. Some may consider it cute, but when someone is looking for a dog, they want to see the markings, the head, and the structure of the dog.

Size of this image: 10K

Again, this is an actual picture someone sent to put on the homepage. It is bad on two counts, first the position of the photographer is all wrong. Never aim down at the dog. And the picture is very out of focus.

Now for some Good Poses

This is one of the best pictures we have gotten for the home page. It is a GREAT pose, and it is incredibly cute. It is a lovely picture of this dog's face. The photographer also knew what they were doing, tech-wise.

Another GREAT pose. It shows so much about this dog. This is a long-haired Basset, and this picture shows it off beautifully. The dog is in motion, so the viewer can get a really good idea what this dog looks like. Great shot.

Size of this image: 16K

This is another beautiful pose. This dog has a lovely head, and the photographer knew that this would help sell this dog.

Size of this image: 8K

This is a very good side pose for any dog. It shows just about everything about this dog. Size, makings, shape, head. Just an all over good photo.

Size of this image: 14K

Another good pose. It shows the dog's head and expression.
