![]() ![]() Gator is a large red
and white male who is approximately 4 years old. He is very soft
and has interesting markings and sensitive eyes. This happy guy
has lots of Basset personality. He is affectionate and loves
belly rubs. He will cock his head when you talk to him and sometimes
talk back. He loves stuffed toys and will run to get one for
you to play with him. He gets along well with his foster brothers
but seems shy around new people at first. He has shown some separation
problems (whining) but having other dogs around seems to help
this too. He is a good eater and not aggressive with food but
is curious what everyone else is having. Gator is a social eater-
he prefers to have someone (person or dog) nearby when being
fed. He will not eat his food in a crate. Gator knows his name,
sit, stay and how to walk on a leash. He is very eager to please
and works well for treats. He is housetrained with just an occasional
accident then he hides under the table. He can counter cruise
and tends to jump up on new people. He would probably do best
in a home where there are other dogs to keep him company.

04/26/08 **The age of many BROOD dogs is unknown, as very few come with official records. The estimate on the dog's age is usually the initial estimate given by the receiving shelter, which may be different from that given at the time of initial checkup. Different veterinarians may also give different ages, and those different opinions are sometimes reflected on the records. ***BROOD's adoption fees are determined based on age of the dog. Individual adoption fees are shown with each dog's listing. |
