Thanks to an agreement with Recycling Fundraiser we offer a cell phone, laptop, gold & silver jewelry (and more!) recycling fundraiser that will benefit BROOD. No donation is too small. You can recycle one or two items at a time! Or collect them from family and friends and send the items in all at once. All proceeds go toward rescuing basset hounds and paying for their veterinary and foster and kennel care.

If you want to recycle for BROOD as a group fundraising project, here is a letter that you can print out and distribute.

What the program accepts The following are examples of the items that can be recycled for cash to BROOD.

• Jewelry - Cash for scrap metal jewelry.
• Cell Phones - Up to $300 per used cell phone.
• Ink Jet Printer Cartridges - Up to $5 per used ink jet.
• Laptops and Netbooks - Up to $350 per used laptop & netbook.
• MP3 Players - Up to $50 per used MP3 player.
• Digital Cameras - Up to $10 per used digital camera.
• Digital Video Cameras - Up to $25 per used digital video camera.
• GPS Devices - Up to $50 per used GPS device.
• Radar Detectors - Up to $50 per used radar detector.
• Kindle & Sony Book Readers - Up to $25 per used Kindle or Sony book reader.

Accessories other than batteries Please DO NOT ship accessories, (chargers, cases, earpieces, etc.) because Recycling Fundraiser will charge $20 back to BROOD to cover the cost of shipping boxes for accessories. This directly impacts the amount of money BROOD receives. Accessories typically do not contain toxic materials and can generally be disposed of with normal household waste. Some communities have special recycling initiatives in place for this type of material.

Shipping instructions SHIPPING IS FREE. To ship your items to Recycling Fundraiser, please print a FREE pre-paid UPS shipping label from their website.

Please use the following information in the return address field when sending shipments to be sure that BROOD receives credit:

Affix the label to the box. You can give the package to any UPS driver or find a UPS location and drop it off there.

NOTE: Please keep a copy of the tracking number(s) for your records. To ensure prompt and accurate processing of your shipment please clearly identify BROOD with the contact information above on a note inserted inside your box. Recycling Fundraiser does not maintain a record of the online shipping labels that are printed, so unless the boxes are clearly identified they will not know to credit the donation to BROOD.
