two are better than one

For the longest time, my husband and I wanted a dog. We decided on a Basset Hound, our favorite breed. 

In October 2005, we adopted Fiona (at right), a sweet, energetic, affectionate Basset/Beagle mix. She adapted to her new environment very well. She loved running around the backyard and taking walks. Sometimes it was hard to tell who was walking whom! 

Since Fiona used to live with another dog, we thought it would be a good idea to find a new playmate for her. In March 2006, we adopted Elsa (at left), a sweet, laid-back, affectionate Basset. 

Fiona and Elsa get along very well, for which we are thankful. We are very lucky to have them in our family. They are absolutely wonderful!
