sophie's choices

We fell in love with Basset Hounds when we got Sophie from a breeder in N. Carolina. After a few years of being the "only child" we decided that Sophie needed a sister to keep her company. 

We found BROOD and started looking at all the wonderful bassets that were available. We fell in love with Daisy and her pale, blue eyes and we adopted her from the main chapter in March of 2004. After a few days we decided Daisy needed a new name to match her new home and she became Maddie. Maddie is a wonderful addition to our home and Sophie loves having a sister to play with. 

But after a while my husband realized he was seriously outnumbered by females and started talking about a little boy to add to the mix. After looking through the website again we instantly fell in love with Casper from the Tidewater chapter. 

Casper is a wonderful, loving gentleman who has charmed is way into our hearts and has provided his goofy little sisters with some much needed guidance! He too received a new name and now answers to Mungo Melvin! 

Maddie and Sophie try their best to pester him and try to get him to join in their mischief, but he keeps them in line with a deep "WOOF". 

We are now one big happy family!
