the
big little one
We
just wanted to thank BROOD for bringing Stanley to our lives! From the
first time we saw Stanley, with his foster family at Great Falls Park in
2000, he was a part of our hearts. He skipped (that is how he walked) up
to us with his tail wagging like he was the Mac Daddy of all Bassets. It
was almost as if he was meant to be with us.
Over
the next six years, our family was complete. Hardly ever was there an
event that did not include Stanley. He became our funny, sweet, adorable
and protective "little one" that just wanted to be loved. When
our daughter, Maya, entered our lives, Stanley became the diaper police.
Over the next two and a half years, Maya and Stan became our "two
little ones".
Throughout the many roadtrips, walks through Old
Town, hikes through the mountains and many couch sessions, he remained
the loyal and loving "little one" that was just happy to be
with us.
Heartbreakingly, this November we lost Stanley to
cancer. Despite numerous operations and the subsequent recoveries, he
never lost his lovableness. He was truly the perfect dog. We will miss
him forever.
We want to thank BROOD for bringing Stanley into
our lives! Our lives were better with him and will be better because of
him.
