filling
our hearts
We adopted
Violet (previously named Diamond) from the Tidewater chapter - even
though we live in Pennsylvania.
We had
just lost our first beloved BROOD dog to cancer and were looking for
another hound to love after a few months of missing the drool and belly
rubs. After several phone calls, we were told about an adorable dog that
had been taken to a foster home in Virginia. She had a funny, blueish
hue to her coat and an absolutely adorable, crooked paw.
We drove the five hours to Virginia Beach - and took one look
at this dog and fell in love. She came right up and started licking our
faces and it didn't even take a second though.
Our Violet is a loving, spoiled diva. She owns us!! But we love it!!
She lives for kisses from us -and from strangers...and the first thing
she does when she meets someone new is roll over for some scratching.
She filled an emptiness we'd been feeling for months and made for
another BROOD success story.
We will always remember our first dog, Lily, and we miss her
tremendously. But we feel good knowing we gave her a good home while we
could...and that we opened our home and our hearts for another
hound.
Thanks BROOD!!
